Job Description and Responsibilities:

The Procurement Manager manage a staff of 4-5 and is responsible for directing, organizing, and participating in staffs’ planning, coordinating and negotiating of the purchase of materials, services and equipment. Ensure contracts and/or purchase orders are issued at the lowest total cost and, in addition, ensure all other (non-financial) terms fully protect the assets and interests of Wynn. Ensure that all contract terms and conditions related to staffs’ transactions are thoroughly negotiated and have the required inputs and approvals of all stakeholders. A bachelor’s degree in business administration or supply chain, or a law degree plus fifteen or more years of related work experience in a larger Procurement Department is required. Experience negotiating complex long-term contracts is required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Fully protect the assets and interests of all Wynn enterprises by ensuring that all third party commitments and agreements are thoroughly negotiated across all terms, including both financial and legal.
  • Provide leadership, expertise, training, mentoring, and performance reviews for a direct staff of 4-5.
  • Work with staff to develop requirements, specifications, RFP documents, and deal targets for their assigned commodities. Ensure maximum negotiating leverage by first consolidating internal requirements across all business functions.
  • Coordinate contract drafts and negotiations externally with suppliers, and internally with Legal, Risk, Finance, and internal stakeholder. Ensure that all contract terms and conditions related to staffs’ transaction are thoroughly negotiated and have the required inputs and approvals of all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate internally with staff and stakeholders to determine the awarded partner on the basis of cost, quality, terms, fit for purpose, and partner’s ability to support our operation. Finalize all contract terms and then secure final internal approvals (including budgetary) prior to entering into binding agreements.
  • Ensure staff continues to remain “engaged” in supplier relationships beyond contract signing by providing ongoing oversight of their agreements including notices, terminations, requested amendments, changes in scope, and/or ongoing review meetings to ensure services continually meet terms of the agreement.
  • Lead a team of subject-matter-experts who are continually current on lead-times, price trends, technological developments, market shifts, critical suppliers’ financial conditions, and alternative supplier sources within their areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure staff adherence and transparency at all times with good business practices, audit requirements, and all Wynn policies.

Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration or supply chain, or a law degree.
  • Fifteen or more years of related work experience in a large-sized Procurement department.
  • Experience negotiating complex long-term contracts across a variety of different commodities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with an integrated ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Workday, or BirchStreet is highly desirable.
  • Possess leadership skills to mentor, guide, and set organizational and personal targets for direct staff.
  • Management skills to assess staff performance vs targets, provide actionable feedback, and possess the necessary skills to continually guide team performance towards achieving organizational objectives.
  • Ability to read English and analyze business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, market reports, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to analyze supplier financial proposals to forecast, model, and succinctly present to senior management potential costs, cost savings, and alternate scenarios to consider.
  • As an ambassador of the Wynn brand, must have the ability to promote positive, fair, and ethical relations with all suppliers, with all Wynn employees and contractors, and in all interactions within the surrounding communities.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
