Job Responsibilities :

The Wynn Theater Carpentry and Props Department is responsible for the care and maintenance of the show scenery, staging and various equipment used in Le Rêve; in addition, the department creates and manufactures new show pieces and runs show cues on a nightly basis.

• Install, assemble, maintain and repair all scenic elements
• Perform carpentry/props cue tracks for training, rehearsals, performances and special events
• Assist with the upkeep of onstage and backstage areas
• Assist with inspections, maintenance schedules and procedures
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of three (3) years experience working as a stage carpenter for large-scale theatrical or concert productions
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in stage carpentry and conventional theatrical rigging
• Experience with construction and maintenance, modern theatrical scenery and equipment including steel, wood, plastics, paints, power tools, hand tools, dust control and chain motors
• Ability to withstand exposure to chlorinated water and swim with a level of comfort
• Ability to be SCUBA certified
• Ability to learn or update lifesaving skills and to become CPR/First Responder trained
• Knowledge of OSHA health and safety protocols is an asset
• Ability, experience, and comfort in working at high elevations in a theatrical environment
• Must possess problem solving skills and strong interpersonal skills with proven talents in safety and teamwork
• Must possess good written and verbal communications skills
• Willing to define, practice and conform to safe working procedures
• Must be able to work evening, weekends, holidays and overtime
• Must be able to work around live birds, strobe lighting and smoke effects.
• Must have OSHA 10 hour General Industry Safety and Health Card/Certification
