Wynn Las Vegas understands the unique benefits of custom application development to gain business value by uniting capabilities from existing vendor-delivered systems with internally architected advanced solutions.  The Front-End Developer is a member of the Wynn Las Vegas IT Development Team and is critical to implementing software architecture improvements for Wynn Las Vegas.  This position reports to the Lead Developer and plays a valuable role in software development implementation efforts for Wynn Las Vegas

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist a diverse team of Software Developers responsible for implementing technical designs and coding complex n-tier applications and interfaces.
  • Translates technical designs and implement application architecture and interface development initiatives.
  • Adhere to standards, best practices, product development processes, technical design practices, and quality standards.
  • Analyzes business logic requirements/problems and technical designs and objectively; applies sound judgment in assessing possible solutions.
  • Assist in creation and review of Development Project plans to determine project requirements and schedule Development Team project deliverables, milestones and required tasks.
  • Executes coding assignments, tasks and responsibilities with high standards and attention to timeline.
  • Provide status updates to project personnel, and modify schedules or plans as required.
  • Adhere to standards and procedures for developer team reporting and documentation efforts.
  • Respond to requests for changes from original specifications.
  • Assist peer code review process and join code reviews at various stages in the development process.
  • Follow team process to enter and track implementation information including work items, tasks and issue management in Team Foundation Server.
  • Follow team processes for build releases to Quality Management.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related discipline with an information technology focus or equivalent experience is preferred but not required.
  • A minimum of one (1) to five (5) years of experience in front-end web development is preferred but not required.
  • Solid understanding of modern web application development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. 
  • General knowledge of modern web frameworks/libraries including Bootstrap, Angular, JQuery, etc.
  • Understanding of modern front-end web technologies including LESS, SASS, WebPack, Gulp, Grunt, etc.
  • Solid understanding of the software development process, including requirement gathering, analysis/design, development tools/technologies, release/version control, contemporary testing methodologies.
  • Strong analysis, design and implementation experience with technologies.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver projects using leading-edge technology.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple small to large assignments.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems.
  • Ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport (persuades others and gains understanding).
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all levels.
  • Outstanding written/oral, organizational, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • A valid Nevada Gaming License is required and must be obtained before entering this position.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
