The Sr Network Engineer assists in the design and implementation of a resilient and functional network infrastructure. Resolve issues that have been escalated through the tiers of support. Mentor a team of engineers to troubleshoot and optimize the network for our users. Should possess excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture. Be passionate about security and data protection.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
  • Configure and install switches, routers, APs , firewalls and other network devices
  • Monitor network performance and integrity
  • Resolve issues that have escalated through the tiers of support
  • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
  • Create , oversee, and test security measures (e.g. access control and disaster recovery)
  • Communicate with upper management and users when required
  • Suggest improvement to network performance, capacity and scalability

Job Requirements:

  • Professional certification (e.g. CCNP, CDDP), BS/BA in Computer Science. Engineering or 10 years’ experience in network administration and architecture
  • In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP,OSPF)
  • Familiarity with access control and network security
  • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. Solarwinds network tools)
  • Solid understanding of network operating systems (preferably Avaya networking, Palo Alto and Extreme Wing wireless)
  • Sharp troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Organizational and mentoring skills
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position at all times.
