Job Description and Responsibilities:

Encore Boston Harbor is a luxury global destination gaming resort that will feature 671 hotel rooms with sweeping views of the Boston skyline and Boston Harbor, ultra-premium spa, specialty retail, award-winning dining, and state-of-the-art ballroom and meeting spaces. At a total cost of $2.4 billion, it is the largest private single-phase development in the history of the Commonwealth. Situated on the waterfront along the Mystic River and connected to Boston Harbor, Encore Boston Harbor will include a six-acre park along the water that will feature pedestrian and bicycle paths that provide access to the harbor, an events lawn, picnic and public viewing areas, ornate floral displays and retail and dining experiences that overlook the Encore Harbor Walk.

Encore Boston Harbor is currently under construction with resort opening anticipated June 2019. Once open, Encore Boston Harbor will employ over 4,000 team members. We invite you to apply to be a member of the founding Encore Boston Harbor team.

The Executive Steward reports to the Executive Chef and is responsible for overseeing the performance of the stewarding department including managing, training, staffing, conducting daily inspections of all food & beverage areas to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health and fire code regulations and overall kitchen cleanliness. The Executive Steward works directly with all F&B General Managers on maintaining china, glass, silver, and linen inventories and will work directly with the Executive Director of F&B Concept and Development on ordering and managing new table top and linen samples.

Job Responsibilities:

Finance Management will be approximately 25% of this role and include, but is not limited to, the following:

*Analyze and monitor financial expenses and productivity performance.
*Develop and implement annual plans to ensure achievement of annual budget.
*Manage financial progress, labor costs, and other expenses.

Operational & People Management will be approximately 75% of this role and include, but is not limited to, the following:

*Ensure all subdivision outlets are compliant with Health and Safety standards.
*Ensure standards and organizational policies are available for staff to create and maintain a safe workplace environment.
*Identify best practices by determining quality and efficiency measures.
*Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained by proactive and not reactive approach.
*Consistent monitoring of cleanliness and sanitation of all respective areas.
*Ensure direct reports conform to Encore policies and procedures as well as take responsibility for reporting any actual or potential issues.
*Oversee recruitment, development and succession planning processes to ensure human capital is effectively allocated to meet current and future operational needs.
*Conduct quarterly china, glass, silver, and linen audits for all F&B outlets to cross check records in order to maintain constant inventory accuracy.

Job Requirements:

*Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role (preferably from a high end resort, casino, or hotel operation)
*Ability to professionally communicate in English, multiple languages is preferred.
*Ability to perform in a fast paced dynamic environment with attention to detail.
*Ability to lead large department and work well under pressure.
*Must possess the ability to prioritize, organize and follow through in order to meet deadlines.
*Knowledge of and exposure to a union environment is preferred.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, including but not limited to the Food Manager Certification.
*Food Safety Manager Certification issued by an ANSI accredited food protection manager program required.
*Candidate must have fluent knowledge of chemicals, MSDS, personal protection equipment, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines.
