Job Description and Responsibilities:

The Public Relations department is responsible for maintaining the public image of both Wynn and Encore.  The primary focus of the Public Relations Manager (Hotel) is to oversee Public Relations efforts for the resort, specifically in the areas of retail, spa/ salon, weddings, meetings & conventions, Wynn Golf Club, public art/ amenities and large-scale film productions.  Additional areas of responsibility include promoting the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts.    

*Develop and execute strategic and creative public relations campaigns for Wynn and Encore Las Vegas; engage in regular contact with leaders of each business unit to determine business needs and creative story angles.

*Strong contacts with major television shows and productions, specifically in the LA and NYC markets.

*Knowledge of the film industry and large-footprint production management.

*Must have established contacts with travel, lifestyle and trade publications. 

*Plan and conduct public relations activities designed to create and maintain a favorable public image for Wynn Las Vegas and Encore.

*Coordinate familiarization trips and resort experiences for visiting media; conduct feeder market media visits to introduce new offerings and amenities. 

*Evaluate media opportunities and respond to reporter requests in a timely manner. 

*Manage the distribution of press materials to the media.

*Accompany executives and company representatives to all media and public relations activities, both onsite and out-of-market. 

*Facilitate press conferences and grand openings.

*Welcome and host VIP visitors to the property; working nights and weekends are required.

*Update and assist with the creation of media and general marketing materials (press releases, media kits, photos, video, web sites, etc.).

*Maintain relevant editorial and award calendars. 

*Work with marketing department to create, develop and coordinate promotions with measurable value.

*Collaborate with internal PR team to cross-promote business units. 

*Liaise with the Community Affairs department to identify and promote CSR opportunities that articulate the company’s culture and commitment to the community. 

*Create content for social media channels.

*Assist with managing activities of outside agencies hired for specific projects.

*Represent the resort at community events and trade shows.

*Maintain company statement log and media activity database.

*Create and edit quarterly PR newsletter.

*All other duties assigned by the Executive Director of Public Relations.

Job Requirements:

*Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field.

*Minimum of 6 years of experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

*Advanced writing ability, strong organizational skills, excellent spoken and written communication skills required.

*Engaging and charismatic; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization, media contacts and vendors.

*Must have a flexible schedule and be willing and able to work evenings, overnight filming and weekends.

*Must be 21 years of age or older.
