Job Description and Responsibilities:

The Hotel Marketing Manager will execute strategic marketing programs with our leisure partners; provide market competitive analysis and assess marketing opportunities; relationship development and track partner marketing analytics. Interact with sales teams.

The individual will also manage reporting efforts by identifying performance by partner and do analysis against our comp set as it relates to marketing. Individual will work closely with department executive director to align objectives with our partners, then roll out marketing programs and events that draw these audience segments to our properties via leisure sales channels.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the executive director of hotel marketing, the hotel marketing manager is accountable for driving various growth initiatives, negotiating deals and managing strategic partnerships that deliver sustainable growth. This will include, but may not be limited to:

• Oversee marketing plan implementation and tactics for over 60 partners with varying levels of intensity, including domestic and international wholesale; receptives, consortia and online travel partners (OTAs). Campaigns include
Executing e-mails, newsletters, banners, newspaper advertising, brochures, etc.
• Invoice management of all co-op budgets and marketing expenditures.
• Execute marketing programs for receptive partners.
• Support director in all hotel sales’ efforts, TIS and Convention with marketing as needed pre and post-show marketing materials and campaigns.
• Recommend marketing concepts that drive occupancy and incremental revenue.
• Develop domestic and international collateral and sales videos.
• Maintain established Hotel Marketing budget and ROI system.
• Supporting communication between senior level internal and external partner relationships.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities

Account Management:
• Manage the marketing relationship(s) and serve as a point of contact for our travel partners and pro-active execution of planned marketing programs.
• Nurture the partnership to help grow our businesses, increase sales, and perform to maximum capabilities.
• Maintain departmental marketing status sheets for each TIS team member for weekly meetings.
• Escalate reporting mechanisms.
• Analyze sales reports from partners and optimize marketing. Do ad hoc analyses to identify areas for improvement and room night growth.
• Ensure that offers, materials, and promotions are accurate, timely, and complete.
• Support Executive Director of Hotel Marketing efforts to streamline marketing tools for use by TIS and Convention Sales teams.

Project Management:
• Manage program launches across all TIS partner channels which include brand essence and fulfillment needs.
• Set realistic timelines and ensure that deadlines and requirements are met or exceeded.

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:
• High level of talent in Excel and other MS programs.
• Strong advertising/marketing background with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Web and multi-media production experience.
• The ability to overcome obstacles with an always-positive attitude and an ability to rally internal and external folks as needed to achieve goals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Media planning, buying and negotiation skills.

EDUCATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in advertising and/or marketing. Or 5+ years related experience. Required.

EXPERIENCE:
• Five or more years of relevant marketing experience which may include: ad agency account management, marketing project management and/or travel industry marketing.
• Hospitality experience.
• Multi-media experience.
• Collateral production experience.
• Media buying and negotiating experience.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Highly organized and ability to multi-task in a driven manner.
